Hell ho! The second part of our interview with shock rock legend ALLICE COOPER was accompanied by a review of ALICE’s show at EWS Arena, Göppingen, 21. October 2011. Quite a cool and ghoulish event, even though it seemed somewhat out of place in this strangely mutated gym. Pity that the location was rather void of audience and, even more distracting, atmosphere. Against all odds, however, it was quite bedazzling to see how lively the master of disaster rocked the night, backed up by his comparatively young gang of three and his long-term six-string-slinger STEVE HUNTER. Daggers, flames, smoke and mirrors, sticks and stones, feeding freaky frankenmonster and murdering a paparazzi on stage – well, what else would you expect? More people, perhaps, but it’s your loss now you missed the opportunity to also watch ALICE alongside IGGY POP and HENRY ROLLINS in ROB STEFANIUK’s vampire grotesque “Suck” plus two special guests.

Back to our own show, we did a spontaneous MISFITS special for JERRY ONLY & Co.’s latest album “The Devil’s Rain”, comparing their qualities to those of “American Psycho” (that’s so mean, I know) and the young guns from BLITZKID and DEAD END GUYS. Plus 70s rock by OPETH and a German punk legend returning, ABWÄRTS.
After that more melodies and murky sounds in TRAUMATIC DESCENT, with wavey THE SEARCH and THE HIRAM KEY, e-punky AGENT SIDE GRINDER & Co., post-rock, post-metal or non-post epic rock soundscapes by our personal heroes JUNIUS, newly found fantastic FALLOCH, and instrumetal by HEIRS, plus oh no, oh yes, some goth tunes.
